Bio
Helping kids and adults free their musical voice on the best instrument there is: the trumpet! It can be a uniquely challenging instrument without the right guidance, and yet it is one of the most fun, and with the best volume to portability ratio (it can be quiet too, though! don’t worry parents). I’ve spent the last decade or two figuring out the nitty gritty of how to play all different types of music on the trumpet and I love sharing what I’ve learnt with whoever is willing to take on the challenge – be it the curious Miles Davis fan, the aspiring last-post-er or the next generation of horn section superstars.
Teaching Info
I have a warm and encouraging teaching style. We can go through technique, reading, improv, composition – whatever is most interesting or useful for the student. I’m mindful of the time constraints people have regarding practice and can work with the student to come up with a personalised routine that works for them. I believe music is for everyone and if the sound of the trumpet is calling you or your child, I want to help.
