Bio
I am an experienced musician offering teaching that prioritises healthy technique, fosters the joy of making music and communicating musically, while working towards student-lead goals. I bring warmth and attention to the teacher-student relationship, supported by my background in social work, education and current psychotherapy practice.
My love of singing began in early childhood and through being part of my primary school choir. I started learning music more seriously as a teenager when I was a passionate member of the New Zealand Secondary Student’s Choir and the New Zealand National Youth Choir. I have studied singing and cello at the New Zealand School of Music and Otago University.
I am a student member of New Zealand Association of Singing Teachers (NEWZATS).
