Bio
When becoming a vocal coach in New Zealand, it’s not enough just to have a BMA in music or touring experience. I am so grateful for the time and effort that has been poured into me over a course of about 8 years from some of the top vocal trainers in NZ. I also have received professional development at Estill training courses under Anne Marie, an Estill master trainer from the UK. As a singer myself, I regularly up-skill on my own, and I am a part of an online community of vocal trainers who encourage one another under master trainer Hinekoia Tomlinson. After working as a vocal coach for over 10 years, It’s still an honour to watch that lightbulb moment when a concept is picked up by someone. I make it a priority to focus on being a flexible communicator, to help the learning process of each individual student.

I took a voice lesson with Tamsyn a few months back at her home studio. She was very warm and welcoming. We did an hour-long lesson. I was amazed at her intricate knowledge of how the vocal cords, voice box, etc., all worked. She had an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy of the voice. I was blown away and would definitely recommend Tamsyn as your vocal coach.
