Bio
Hello and welcome!
I am a professional piano and singing teacher with extensive international experience and a strong musical background.
My musical education began at Mussorgsky Music College in St Petersburg and continued at the Conservatory in Novosibirsk. After moving to New Zealand, I furthered my studies at the University of Auckland, where I obtained a Bachelor of Music (Honours) degree.
With over 20 years of teaching experience in New Zealand and overseas, I have taught piano at Corran School and singing at Glendowie College, as well as providing private lessons from my home studio in Auckland.
I prepare students for examinations with Trinity College London and ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), and I am delighted to see my students develop their musical skills and achieve excellent results. Their certificates, displayed in my studio, reflect the dedication and hard work we share throughout their musical journey.
Every student is different. Some aspire to pursue music professionally, while others simply want to enjoy playing the piano or singing for pleasure. I welcome both, and aim to help each student develop their abilities, confidence and love of music in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Teaching Info
I help my students develop sound piano technique, musical understanding and confident playing, while introducing them to a wide and varied repertoire. Students can also prepare for piano examinations from Initial to Grade 8, depending on their interests and goals.
Singing lessons
As an experienced singing teacher, I help students discover and develop the full potential of their voices, improve their vocal technique and explore a repertoire suited to their abilities and musical interests.
Location
My home studio is located in Pt England, in Auckland’s Eastern Bays area.
