Bio

Esther Lee is a professional cellist and music educator based in Auckland. Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Cello Performance and a Bachelor of Music from the New Zealand School of Music, Esther was named to the Dean’s List for academic excellence.

With international performance experience on classical stages, Esther has taught cello, beginner keyboard, and led ensemble coaching sessions. Her teaching experience includes private lessons, group classes, and ensemble direction. At Gallery Music, Esther served as a cello teacher, beginner keyboard instructor, and ensemble coach. Fluent in both English and Korean, lessons can be delivered in either language.

Passionate about helping students build strong musical foundations, Esther creates a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s goals.


Teaching Info

Students can expect structured, engaging, and supportive lessons tailored to their individual level and goals. Repertoire and materials will be provided during the lesson, with selections adjusted according to each student’s playing ability and progress. Lessons will focus on developing strong technique, musical expression, sight-reading, and overall musicianship. Both classical and foundational methods are incorporated into the curriculum. Students are required to bring their own music stands to each lesson.
