Welcome! I’m Mau Ocampo – Violin Teacher & Performer

With over 15 years of international experience as a professional violinist and teacher, I’m passionate about helping students of all ages and levels unlock their musical potential.

Whether you’re a beginner taking your first steps or an advanced player preparing for auditions or conservatory studies, my lessons are tailored to your goals, pace, and learning style.

I offer in-person lessons in Auckland and online lessons worldwide, combining strong classical training with a flexible and supportive approach. Let’s make music together!

Teaching Info

Every student is unique, so every lesson should be too. I design each class based on your individual goals, level, and learning style, creating a supportive environment that helps you grow confidently and enjoy the process.

My teaching approach blends the best of the Russian and Italian violin schools, combined with elements of the Suzuki method and popular music styles. This mix allows me to adapt to each student, whether you’re aiming for technical mastery, musical expression, or simply the joy of playing your favourite tunes.

From classical to contemporary, I’ll guide you with a method that’s structured, flexible, and always inspiring.
