**I am currently offering online brass lessons to students.**
Hello, and a warm welcome to my teaching profile!
My name is Adrian and I am a 38 year old brass musician, conductor and educator with 20 years of teaching experience. I’m a graduate of the ANU School of Music (B.MUS – Trumpet Performance) and have studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Over the years I have studied with various members and ex-members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and other leading players throughout Australia.
Since 2006, I have taught all levels of brass (trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium/baritone & tuba) to primary, secondary and adult students individually and within a group setting. I have taught both face-to-face and online with great success and have guided many students through AMEB examinations with outstanding results.
Over the years, I have secured many teaching positions at leading private schools throughout NSW, QLD & ACT (Australia) including Loreto Kirribilli (NSW, Australia), St. Aloysius College (NSW, Australia), St. Aidan’s Anglican Girls’ School (QLD, Australia), St. Edmund’s College (ACT, Australia). I have also been invited to teach pre-tertiary trumpet at the ANU School of Music (ACT, Australia).
I love sharing my love of music with students of all ages and would describe my teaching style as versatile. Differing personalities, learning styles, musical goals and backgrounds call for a flexible approach to teaching. Fellow colleagues and parents have often described me as an engaging and nurturing teacher. I pride myself on being sensitive to the needs and unique goals of my students. I approach lessons in a positive and encouraging manner and regard myself as a warm, friendly and approachable teacher. I have excellent rapport with my students and often have past students from previous schools reach out to ask if they can continue tuition with me privately.
