Bio

I have recently moved back to NZ after 33 years working overseas as a teacher and musician. When Musicians Institute Hollywood expanded their schools in Japan in the mid 90s I headed the GIT Deluxe program for technically advanced guitarists which included improvisation, music reading, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, music theory and ear training. During that time I worked with famous artists such as Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, and Scott Henderson, to name just a few. At Kawaii Music School in Japan in the early 90s I taught classical guitar, acoustic guitar and piano and throughout the last three decades I have performed on a weekly basis at piano bars, weddings, and events. Way back the mid to late 80s I played professionally solo and in bands in NZ and taught piano and guitar privately. With the extensive experience and knowledge I have acquired over the years I can provide you with high quality lessons in most styles of music from beginner to advanced.
