Bio
Anna is originally a Russian opera singer (mezzo-soprano), but currently, living in Wellington. She graduated from the Tchaikovsky Academic Music College at the Music State Conservatory and then the Victor Popov Academy of Choral Art in Moscow in 2019. While being a student, she took a part in many Choral and Opera projects, where her leading roles included Olga from Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky.
Currently, Anna’s teaching in Rata Studios, participating in Wellington Opera Chorus (Don Giovanni 2021), and have just completed the project Voices of Aotearoa 6:24 by NZ Opera.
Anna has 5+ years of singing teaching experience both in Moscow and Wellington. Besides her inspiration by singing itself, Anna is continuously investigating the connections between voice and body, helping people to find their voices, realise their power and beauty.
Teaching Info
Anna offers private singing lessons for anybody who is keen to investigate and develop their voices. Anna’s teaching style based on the Russian and Italian vocal technique but also contains some personally gained tips and tricks, adjusting and applying them in accordance with the student demands.
The important aspects of Anna’s lessons are natural voice exploration along with voice and body release. By Anna’s experience, the voice and body blockages may be related to our childhood and may affect the way we are perceived by the people around us. By exploring your natural voice in Anna’s lessons, such issues can be spotted and worked out.
The lessons perform in a friendly and supportive manner, always aiming to spot and resolve the student’s concerns. Usually, Anna is teaching in her home studio in Wilton, but she is flexible to teach anywhere in Wellington.
