At Chiron Music Academy and Chiron Rock School, we believe in the potential of every child. Our aim is to nourish and inspire students of all levels, from preschoolers to those ready to make a career in music. Our students achieve highly both in New Zealand and on the world stage.

Teaching Info
Chiron Music Academy offers the full spectrum of classical music education. We hold regular concerts and masterclasses with national and international artists. Our students are given regular performance opportunities at our school concerts and participate to great success in local, national and international music competitions.
Achievements of CMA current and former students:
- Toured internationally on Royal Overseas League Pettman Scholarship
- Featured in At World’s Edge Festival in Queenstown
- First place at NZCT Chamber Music Competition
- Second place at Australian Flute Festival Young Artist Competition
- Selected to perform as NZSO Emerging Artists
- Selected for NZSO National Youth Orchestra
- Perfect full mark in ARSM examination (first person in history)
- Music scholarships at St. Kentigern’s College, St. Kentigern’s Girls’ School, St. Kentigern’s Boys’ School, Diocesan School for Girls, King’s School, King’s College, and St. Cuthbert’s College

Chiron Rock School offers rock and pop lessons on guitar, bass, drums, keys, and vocals. Our teachers are experienced creatives who are actively involved in the New Zealand music scene and love passing on their expertise! Our students enjoy access to custom studios with state-of-the-art equipment, holiday songwriting programs, and even student-led rock bands!
