Bio
Hi, I’m a friendly teacher with lots of teaching experience, starting when I was 9 and completing B Mus degree and Trinity and ABRSM diploma performance exams.
I aim to create a relaxed student who works with their own body to produce a good sound.

I offer various tutor books to suit different learners. More advanced students will get lots of great repertoire advice and lots of resources to borrow if they can’t buy!
I go into quite a bit of detail in the lessons but I see it as a collaboration rather than a hierarchy of teacher and student…
Our daughter has had the joy of being taught by Julia for five years. Julia understands the individual strengths of her students and takes their voice into account as she tailors a musical education unique to them.
