Bio

My name is Matt Kennedy and I am a working musician and a guitar tutor.

I specialise in contemporary music and design lessons that are both enjoyable and achievable for students of all levels, helping them build confidence and reach outstanding results across a variety of genres.

I have been playing Guitar for 25 years and teaching for 6 years. In 2016, I completed a Level 6 Diploma in Performance Music at Vision College.

As a working musician, I have had the privilege to play alongside some amazing musicians in a wide variety of musical projects. This includes playing lead electric guitar, for reggae fusion band Horizone, writing my own music, as well as playing guitar and singing in various rock, funk, reggae, blues and acoustic cover bands.

Teaching Info

My lessons are tailored to each student’s age, skill level, and musical interests. I can teach you the songs you enjoy while incorporating useful theory and exercises to help you become a stronger guitarist. I take the time to get to know my students, discuss their goals, and create an approach that builds on their strengths.
