Northern School of Performing Arts is a Performing Art School with two studios based in Takapuna and the Hibiscus Coast.
MUSIC
Not only is music a lot of fun, it also provides significant cognitive and physical benefits. Learning a musical instrument has been shown to improve reading, listening and processing abilities, enhance memory and spatial-temporal skills, and build confidence and self-discipline. At NSPA, we offer lessons in singing, guitar and piano, with opportunities for performance as well as exams with both the Trinity College of London and ABRSM. We offer performing opportunities and also exams with both Trinity College of London and ABRSM.
DANCE
Our Dance classes encourage confidence, expression, disciple and enjoyment of dance and performance. NSPA provides quality training by professional staff in a fun and safe environment. We have a comprehensive and varied timetable with a wide range of dance styles to chose from at all levels, from pre schools to advance.
THEATRE
Whether you enjoy singing, musical theatre, dancing, acting or all of the above, NSPA has you covered! Our classes are fast-paced, fun and inspiring, ensuring plenty of performing opportunities with one large full-scale musical a year. We also provide performance opportunities in straight plays – William Shakespeare eat your heart out!
NSPA also offers examinations with Trinity College of London in musical theatre, speech and drama, or even pop and rock. Trinity College London is a leading international exam board and independent education charity that has been providing assessments around the world since 1877. NSPA loves Trinity as it provides our students something to work towards, builds confidence and also give students a qualification.
