Violin Lessons | Suzuki Music Lessons
Bio
Hello! I am a Canadian violinist who has made NZ home. My husband and I have been core members of the Auckland Philharmonia since 2013. After completing a BMus and MMus at McGill university in Montreal, I joined the Winnipeg Symphony orchestra where I was a tenured member of the 1st violin section for nine years. In this time I began teaching privately and as my studio grew, so did my love of teaching! I believe learning music empowers children in myriad ways, and enriches the life of anyone, of any age, who wishes to learn it.
Teaching Info
For young children, good set up and basic technique using the Suzuki method, good tone and pitch, as well as aural and rhythmic training.
For more advanced students, ensuring that set up and technique are solid, and assisting each young musician in finding their own voice.
