Bio
Raylee Bradfield has 25+ years of teaching and performing experience in popular music. Raylee’s teaching specialties are singing and songwriting and has taught at performing art schools (Excel School of Performing Arts) and tertiary institutes (Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand) as well as teaching private students. Raylee also writes, releases and performs her own music around the country.
Teaching Info
Students can expect to receive tuition in singing and/or songwriting that assists in:
- establishing foundational techniques that can be expanded upon as skill and confidence grows
- Singing: posture, breath management, forward placement
- Songwriting: object writing, metaphor, song structure, chords/melody
- scales and short exercises to help implement new techniques (also including: vowel modification, jaw release, breath support, tone quality, song dynamics)
- an openness to work on repertoire that the student is passionate about as well as song/artist suggestions that will encourage technique, style and confidence in performance
- manageable homework that will assist in learning new skills and growing in confidence
