Qualifications: Former GIT instructor at Musicians Institute Hollywood when it amalgamated with ESP Japan and music instructor at Kawaii Music School in Japan.
Pricing: $40 half hour, $70 hour
Styles: Up to pro level in Rock, Metal, Blues, Pop, Funk, Latin, Country, Jazz Fusion, as well as Classical Guitar and Classical Piano ABRSM up to Grade 8
Suitability: From age 8 to adult

Bio

I recently moved back to NZ after decades of working overseas as a teacher and musician. When Musicians Institute Hollywood expanded their schools in Japan I headed the GIT DX program in Sendai city for technically advanced guitarists where I taught improvisation, music reading, rhythm and lead guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboards, music theory and ear training. During that time I worked with famous artists such as Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, and Scott Henderson, to name just a few. At Kawaii Music School in Japan in the 90s I taught classical guitar, acoustic guitar and piano. I have performed regularly at piano bars, weddings, and events throughout my career. With the extensive experience and knowledge I have acquired over the years I can provide students of all levels with high quality lessons in most styles of music from beginner to advanced.
