String Theory Guitar Studio offers beginner to advanced guitar lessons and tuition in music theory that cater to all ages and abilities. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from scratch, or looking to build your skills, lessons are designed to meet your needs.
About
Hi, my name is Rob, and I established String Theory Guitar Studio in 2024. Teaching guitar has always been a constant in my life. It didn’t matter where in the world I was, there were always lessons to be had. Now that I’m back in Palmerston North, I’m excited to pass on my 20+ years experience to all you budding guitarists!

Lesson Type: Private/individual lessons.
Venue: Our studio in Palmerston North. Home lessons are available for students in the Manawatu-Whanganui area.
Lessons are built around the needs of the student and their goals, though structured courses are also available. Regardless of structure, a progressive learning approach is taken.
A free 1 hour trial lesson is offered to all prospective students.
Discounted rates apply if purchasing 10 lessons in advance ($50 p/60min, $40 p/45min). All rates are non-negotiable and non-refundable. Students must commit to all lessons.
As a student you have access to:
- All String Theory Guitar Studio materials and resources, free of charge. There is no need to purchase any book.
