Music lessons in Freemans Bay, Auckland

Symphonia Music is a music studio and creative hub at 57–59 Wellington Street, Freemans Bay. We offer individual and paired lessons in piano, violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, trumpet, French horn, trombone, voice and drums.

Our teaching team includes specialist educators and professional performers, including musicians from the Auckland Philharmonia. Lessons are matched to each student’s age, level, goals and schedule, from first lessons through advanced study.

Students can prepare for ABRSM and Trinity exams, develop ensemble and performance skills, and take part in regular On-Stage student concerts. Piano accompaniment is provided on the concert day. Some teachers also offer online or hybrid lessons.

We welcome children from age 4 for most instruments, as well as teenagers and adults. Lessons take place at our Freemans Bay studio, with free on-site parking available.

Teaching Info

Lessons are tailored to the student’s level and goals. Depending on the teacher and instrument, lessons may cover technique, repertoire, sight-reading, aural skills, exam preparation and performance confidence.

Individual lessons are available in 30, 45 and 60-minute formats. Paired, ensemble, online and hybrid options are available in selected areas.
