About
Callum is an award-winning composer and guitarist based in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a three-time recipient of the APRA Best Jazz Composition award and was inaugural Te Kōkī – New Zealand School of Music jazz composer-in-residence.
Currently artist teacher for jazz guitar at the New Zealand School of Music, Callum has 20 years of teaching experience and can cater to all ages and abilities.
Teaching Info
My lessons are tailored to my students individually, catering to their specific needs. Lesson content ranges from basic open chords and strumming patterns, to advanced technique and improvisation.
Though jazz is my specialty, I enjoy playing and teaching all styles of music. I am always interested in talking to my students about what excites them musically, and applying this to their lessons.
As a teacher, I am friendly, engaging and enjoy a good sense of humour!
