Bio

My name is Jamie. I am offering violin, viola and piano lessons in Palmerston North. My lessons are mainly in-person, though I can do online lessons (Zoom) if requested. I also offer chamber/ensemble coaching, and music theory lessons.

I graduated from the New Zealand School of Music, majoring in Classical Performance (Viola). I have extensive experience playing in orchestras, mainly the NZ National Youth Orchestra (2012-2019) and Auckland Youth Orchestra (2012-2017), as well as various community orchestras. I was a viola soloist with the Manawatu Sinfonia in 2021. I also have an LTCL Diploma in Piano.

Teaching Info

Lessons will be based around each student’s individual learning needs, always with a clear goal and the student’s aspirations as the main focus.

There are options to pay 5 or 10 weeks in advance, or per week, whichever suits you. Rates are non-negotiable and non-refundable, so if paying for multiple lessons in advance the student must commit to those lessons.
