Bio
Vivian is an accomplished and experienced piano teacher based in Manurewa South Auckland, with over 11 years of professional tutoring alongside proven results. With an extensive classical piano background from performing nationally – individually or accompanying, as well as being an events pianist, Vivian’s experience allows her to impart a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to suit the student’s needs. Past and current students have achieved great results from getting regular distinctions in graded exams (1 to 8 Abrsm or Trinity) to achieving wins in school’s talent quest or local competitions. Teaching Info
I am passionate about bringing out the best musical version of the students. From ages 5 to 70+, there isn’t a limit because piano music should be fun, enjoying and stimulating.
For serious learners, I push the student within reason to accomplish their goals. This can be for abrsm or Trinity exam prep, for competitions or for diplomas/other tests. There is structure in place and very clear feedback and instruction given so the student is able to prepare nicely while also enjoying the process.
For casual learners, I like to use a mix of Hal leonard or Alfred lesson books. They are clear and provide a good base to start. Once fundamentals are set there is flexibility to learn pieces from films, pop or from church. Recently students have been loving ‘kpop demon hunters’ songs!

I have enjoyed learning from Vivian.. it is very fun and engaging and she has a lot of experience and wisdom to draw from. It is challenging at times but worth it because now I am at a decent level.
