Bio

Joby, an experienced violinist from India, has played the violin with prestigious orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of India and the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed with musicians and composers from around the world. As an orchestra member, he performed with renowned Indian Tabala player Ustad Zakir Hussain, Rakesh Chaurasia, and Pandit Niladri Kumar in their Triple concerto show in India and other countries.

Playing for several well-known Indian film music composers, he has been an active musician in the background score recording of the Indian film industry since 2005.

Joby served as the concertmaster for the Bahrain Police Chamber Orchestra from 2009 to 2023. During his tenure, he led the orchestra on numerous international tours and performances in various locations. He has performed in front of many important world leaders at royal events hosted by His Majesty the King of Bahrain in his palace.

With over 15 years of experience, he has taught violin to students of various ages and skill levels, ranging from beginners to advanced learners. From 2009 to 2023, he served as a violin instructor at the Bahrain Music Institute.

He teaches various music styles such as Western classical, Indian folk style, and pop music.

Joby provides lessons in person and online, for both individuals and groups.

I customized my lessons to fit the needs and musical aspirations of each student by utilizing various teaching techniques and study materials like the Suzuki Method, Sevcik, Schradieck, Kreutzer, Carl Flesch and more. By focusing on the fundamentals and techniques, mastering a musical instrument becomes easier and more enjoyable. Emphasizing proper techniques from the start can lead to faster progress in your skills.
