Born in Korea, Mi Jin started piano when she turned 5. It was after moving into New Zealand when she decided to walk the path alongside with piano. Since in Intermediate, she competed in many different competitions throughout Auckland including North Shore Performing Arts Competition, IRMT Scholarship and West Auckland Performing Arts Competition.
She graduated Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, PG Dip Music and Bachelor of Music Honours in Studio Pedagogy from University of Auckland focusing on the Setting up good practices for beginner to advanced students under the guidance of Richard Liu.
She is an active performer, accompanist and teacher. She is now Convenor of North Shore Perofming Arts Society in Pianoforte and Instrumental section, member of Hibiscus Music Group and is an Associated Member of Institute of Registered Music Teachers of New Zealand.
