An experienced, personable teacher/performer on all woodwind and brass instruments, he has a wealth of private teaching knowledge across all age groups and levels, and has taught at Onslow College, Otumoetai College, Rata Studios Music School and others.
I cover all levels and musical genres appropriate to the age and experience of the student, and focus on teaching musicality, technical skills, practical music theory and performance skills, but most of all how to enjoy music. I’m equally happy teaching adults as well as younger students. The lessons are positive, casual, fun and are structured with a range of important repertoire with a focus on the student’s musical satisfaction. If students wish to complete grades I can prepare them for recitals and exams.
Oscar has been a fantastic saxophone teacher for me over the last 2 years. He's friendly and knowledgeable and would definitely reccomend.
We had a great experience with Oscar - he taught my son for over a year and was patient, fun, and encouraged my son to get much better at the saxophone.
