Bio
Kia Ora I’m Reuben Sceats.
I am a Wellington Local, I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years and have been teaching guitar for the last seven.
I completed my Bachelor of Music and Creativity in 2023 at Whitireia, and have been taught by many great players and have picked up great teaching techniques along the way.
I am active in the Wellington music scene, playing gigs with my band and as a solo acoustic act. I am well versed in many different genres and styles of music, I can transcribe by ear, and write charts and tabs for my students.
I can teach online zoom lessons, and at students homes. I’ve found this is the most relaxing space for students to learn and stay engaged!

My lessons are designed to help spark peoples creativity and progress their personal music style even further! I will help provide the techniques and materials to better your abilities no matter what level you’re at. We will set goals, you’ll receive detailed feedback and encouragement along the way. We can learn any songs you wish, and we can set “project” songs you’d like to work towards and all resources needed will be provided!
