Wellington
Cello Lessons
Bio
Kia Ora!
I have recently moved to Wellington to study Architecture at Victoria University. This will be my second year studying and am excited to get into teaching again after last years break. I have been playing the cello for nine years and this year will be completing my grade eight Trinity examination.
Teaching Info
Initially, for total beginners, students can expect to learn how to hold their bow, how to position their cello and what is the best posture for playing. These are all ongoing learnings that develop as your skills do. From there, we can cover technical work, that is, scales, arpeggios and studies etc depending on skill level. We will then work through various pieces, possibly in preparation for an exam or purely for enjoyment. I aim for the student to be excited about playing the cello and so the work we cover will hopefully be aimed at their interests while also exposing them to new styles and experiences.
