Bio
Anna Grace Hope is a Southland musician and composer. (http://sounz.org.nz/contributor/composer/1908) Anna teaches a variety of instruments and theory at her studio in Bluff and is passionate about creativity. She completed training as a life coach with International Coach Academy in 2006 and has completed a BA with Massey University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Arts (Music) through Otago University in 2015 studying the work of composer Christopher Norton.
Anna plays flute, guitar, keyboard, and piano. Anna premiered her music at a concert in 2006 and 2016 and was awarded a Douglas Lilburn Award for composition. Her music is included in the ANZCA syllabus for piano exams.
Helping others reach their full potential as musicians is Anna’s foremost goal. Helping people achieve excellence whilst having fun is at the core of Anna’s philosophy.
Teaching Info
Anna teaches classical and contemporary styles in piano, guitar and flute.
Skilled at improvisation, Anna will encourage students to find their voice through improvisation and arranging.
Anna has experience with exam preparation, having prepared hundreds of students for theory and practical exams. (ANZCA, St Cecilia School of Music, TCL, ABRSM)
Students will be encouraged to be confident note readers.
Anna teaches holistically and encourages good posture and technique.
