At Curious Keys School of Music we teach students from 7 years to adult, and from beginners to early advanced levels. Students are engaged in lessons, and take an active role in determining the course of their study. Together we create a supportive and encouraging environment, so that students gain the confidence and musical experience to independently explore and try out new things.
Music is a fundamentally important way for humans to express their feelings and emotions – we aim to give students the skills they need in order to do this. Learning an instrument is a long-term project, but one that is incredibly fulfilling. Through hard work and dedication, and a generous helping of curiosity, students are able to reach their musical goals, whatever they may be.
Teaching Info
We teach a combination of reading music and by ear, as well as skills like improvisation and composition, to enable students another creative way to express themselves, and to deepen their understanding of music. Students gain an appreciation of many different styles and genres. For children, we find that teaching through play is the most effective way to learn, so our lessons are full of creativity and fun.
